Because Paris is always a good idea… but even a good idea can still prove quite expensive!
One of the best parts about city life all over the world is the diverse array of ways to keep yourself entertained regardless of your tastes and this definitely holds true in the city of light (and love) – Paris!
Here are some ways you can explore Paris and truly immerse yourself in the city – absolutely free of course!
1.) Get in on Free First Sundays: There’s free admission to museums and monuments in Paris on the first Sunday of the month! Check out the official website for more details.

2.) Take a walk along La Promenade Plantée: This is basically an old railway line covered with tree and offering amazing views of Paris as you walk along and explore the city from walkway.

3.) See the obvious sights: Notre Dame, Sacré Coeur, Jardin des Tuileries, Jardin du Luxembourg…etc. These are all free and probably the most obvious thing to do when you get to Paris (hence why they’re all lumped into one on here – no point in listing them all out one after the other 😉 ) so ensure you tick these off your list (if you haven’t already done so).

4.) Go on a free walking tour with Sandemans

5.) Head over to a fashion show in Galeries Lafayette: More details are on their website.

6.) Go watch a free movie at Parc de la Villette open air cinema: This is more of a summer time thing of course

7.) Spend an afternoon in Parc des Buttes Chaumont: This is one of those freebies that you kinda have to work for! It involves a long hike up to Temple de la Sibylle.

8.) Go Vintage Shopping at Le Marais: Technically free as you don’t have to buy anything to partake in the joy of window shopping and day dreaming! Most of the stuff here is really cool so it’s definitely worth heading over to take a little gander at!

9.) Go for a free Organ recital at Saint-Eustache Church: Every Sunday at 5.30pm.
